I feel like yes it was helpful but it took longer than it needed to be. After it was all done, I felt like the tutor could have given me simpler direction. It felt like a very round about way of doing things. In my situation I didn't know I could calculate using %'s rather than dollar values. I think the tutor could have simply said you can do your calculations using %s and given me a similar example to follow. I think a similar example would have been more helpful, to visualize and quicker. Instead it was the tutor walking my through step by step of my problem. I learn better by viewing an example and seeing how it relates to my current problem. This is also the first time I have used this so I don't know that I would recommend without having tried it out more times.
